The ROOTS @ Nathan Homestead ….. TURNING TRASH INTO TREASURE!
“Using creativity to reach the hearts and minds of people…
To drive locally inspired and owned solutions”
“The Roots @ Nathan Homestead” is funded and supported by the Manurewa Local Board. This project intends to bring together the Manurewa community and our local community arts centre, Nathan Homestead, as a place for learning, creativity, community and family. This project will facilitate greater participation with youth and our diverse community in Manurewa celebrating creativity and sustainability in a positive environment.
Community showcases for each workshop will run from JULY – OCTOBER
with the support of SouthMall Manurewa & Manurewa Business Association.
These UP-CYCLED items have been built by local young people and families at Nathan Homestead.
After showcasing these items, they will be returned to the owner / artists who created them.
Adding value back into our communities! #keepingitroots
